| To determine electrical equivalent of heat. Vacuum jacketed glass tube with constricting jet for insertion in outlet-end of flow tube to ensure turbulence. Overall length of tube 360 mm approx. Fitted with coiled heating element, resistance 2 ohms, 18 W, wound on removable glass former. Inlet and outlet tubes for water supply and two rubber stoppers to take thermometers (-50°C to 50°C). On wooden base, for connections to d.c. supply upto 6V, 3A Supplied without thermometers and power supply. |
